Hooker Falls in the Dupont State Forest, near Brevard in NC on the Little River - October 2009

The Falls was seen in the movie "Last of the Mohicans" as the falls the characters go over in canoes.

A beautiful wide ledge waterfall!

Bridal Veil Falls in Highlands, NC area. (In the Nantahala National Forest.) The watershed was actually pretty good this fall. I've seen this one with a lot less water.

Mingo Falls, the Upper Portion - Located at the foot of the Great Smoky National Park.

Triple Falls in the Dupont State Forest (Two upper falls and one lower fall on the Little River)

This waterfall was shown in the movie, The Last of the Mohicans. (The part when Hawkeye and Mohicans are escorting Cora and others to the fort.)

Triple Falls, the lower portion. Lots of flat rocks to walk around on or stay a while and enjoy the sun.
